“The idea for the new Lucid Dreams began after a real dream…I was standing on the edge of a field surrounded by trees. Meteors were raining down from the sky like tears of fire. One meteor crashed into a tree in an explosion of smoke and cinders. When the smoke cleared I walked closer. This was no meteor. Where the tree once stood was now a tall, human like woman wrapped in a gold shroud. She began to speak. She said she was part of a small race of perfumers that have come to earth to share their knowledge of perfumery. Each one of them a master that creates all of their perfumes around a specific ingredient. From this dream I awoke and wrote down what would become Lucid Dreams. Each perfume centered around an ingredient in a dreamy light using the finest materials.”

Each cruelty-free fragrance from For the Scent of It is crafted by hand with care using only responsibly sourced materials. Every fragrance is created from scratch one material at a time and each is diluted to high “Eau de Parfum” strength. There are no phthalates, parabens, dyes, and ABSOLUTELY NO pre-made, inexpensive “fragrance oils”. Each bottle is filled by hand in small batches making each bottle feel uniquely special during the process. Each bottle is shipped in eco-friendly packaging that can be reused or recycled. So often a perfume is purchased and the box just sits there or gets thrown out. We believe a perfume shouldn’t be regarded necessarily for extravagant packaging and should be enjoyed simply “For the Scent of It”!

All Sales are Final. For cosmetic product safety concerns, returns and exchanges are not accepted. Due to the fact that scent is very personal and expectations vary from person to person, we encourage all customers to purchase samples of our fragrances before purchasing a full bottle.

Free standard shipping on domestic orders. All orders usually ship within 2 business days. We can currently only ship within the USA.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Long lasting, easy to wear oud

Dreaming in oud was basically an instant love for me as soon as I sprayed it. I always like to wait several weeks and wear a fragrance multiple times before I pull the trigger on a full bottle and after going through my entire 2ml sample this was one that I had to add to the collection.

To my nose the scent opens with a delicious cinnamon and orange note and I do get a hint of the carrot seed (reminiscent of the carrot scent in the mid of Fan Your Flames X from Nishane). The dry down is smooth and cozy with oud, vanilla, tonka and sandalwood.

My wife was complimenting me and asking what I was wearing from just 2 sprays. Longevity is fantastic as well which would be expected at 30% concentration and this lasts 12+ hours on on my skin and will stay on clothes until they're washed.

I would say this is better suited for fall and winter, but I live in Phoenix where we just set a record of 4 months straight of 100+ degree days so if you live somewhere with more forgiving summers then you may be able to get away with wearing it year round.

unique, complex, and smooth

It starts off with mostly the cardamom coming through for me with a delicate floral edge, then as it dries down it's mostly sandalwood and oak woodiness, then the vanilla with a woody edge from the oud and tonka is what lingers. I was hoping to catch more of the rose kazanlik coming through, and don't generally gravitate towards vanilla scents on my own body - so this isn't the winner for me. But still a well-crafted and beautiful fragrance and a pleasure to sample and enjoy for a day!

This is my first time trying out an oud fragrance. It's mixed really well and is super smooth. Once it dries down there’s a nice vanilla vibe going on. I’m pretty new to fragrances and I really enjoy it.
