 “The idea for the new Lucid Dreams began after a real dream…I was standing on the edge of a field surrounded by trees. Meteors were raining down from the sky like tears of fire. One meteor crashed into a tree in an explosion of smoke and cinders. When the smoke cleared I walked closer. This was no meteor. Where the tree once stood was now a tall, human like woman wrapped in a gold shroud. She began to speak. She said she was part of a small race of perfumers that have come to earth to share their knowledge of perfumery. Each one of them a master that creates all of their perfumes around a specific ingredient. From this dream I awoke and wrote down what would become Lucid Dreams. Each perfume centered around an ingredient in a dreamy light using the finest materials.”

Each cruelty-free fragrance from For the Scent of It is crafted by hand with care using only responsibly sourced materials. Every fragrance is created from scratch one material at a time and each is diluted to high “Eau de Parfum” strength. There are no phthalates, parabens, dyes, and ABSOLUTELY NO pre-made, inexpensive “fragrance oils”. Each bottle is filled by hand in small batches making each bottle feel uniquely special during the process. Each bottle is shipped in eco-friendly packaging that can be reused or recycled. So often a perfume is purchased and the box just sits there or gets thrown out. We believe a perfume shouldn’t be regarded necessarily for extravagant packaging and should be enjoyed simply “For the Scent of It”!

Ingredients: Alcohol Denat., Fragrance (Parfum), Water (Aqua).
Cruelty-free and no parabens, pthalates, or dyes.

All Sales are Final. For cosmetic product safety concerns, returns and exchanges are not accepted. Due to the fact that scent is very personal and expectations vary from person to person, we encourage all customers to purchase samples of our fragrances before purchasing a full bottle.

Free standard shipping on domestic orders. All orders usually ship within 2 business days. We can currently only ship within the USA.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Happy Childhood Memories in a Bottle

I love scents that evoke happy memories and for me Dreaming in Tonka took me instantly back to my childhood making cookies with my mom around Christmas time. I felt like I was standing on a stool to reach the countertop leaning over the bowl as she would hand me the next ingredient to add. This scent is so incredibly delicious, warm, and cozy! It has incredible projection and longevity and will leave a scent trail throughout your house. At 30% concentration it's very strong and you only need a 1-2 sprays so a bottle will last you a while but I'm already considering purchasing a backup because I love it so much. Thanks to Michael for creating this fantastic scent that brings back fond childhood memories.

Best Tonka Fragrance Ever

Beyond good. Dreaming in Tonka makes me feel wrapped up in beautiful warmth. I told my friend about it & he asked “what’s it smell like?” Without thinking, I answered “an expensive hug.” This is truly the best Tonka fragrance I’ve ever smelled & being a Tonka lover, I own quite a few. I only discovered this brand recently (<1 month) & I already know, that I’ll be a continuing customer.

Creamy + Dreamy + Wise

I don't like the term *blind buy*. This, for me, was an informed + hopeful buy. I discovered *For The Scent Of It* via INSTAGRAM. I like the company name. It's clever. I like the photography. I like *Lucid Dreams*. I occasionally have a lucid dream....when I spray my pillows with a tuberose fragrance. I read each description and I researched Tonka (vanilla/honey). I love almond + amber + Bergamot + cinnamon + vetiver. But....what will the combination smell like? I could have ordered a sample but I acted on faith + impulse and ordered a bottle. I was pleased when I received it: the bottle is a beautiful compact cube. I waited to spray it; the moment needed to be right. It was a hot humid rainy night when I experienced it for the first time. I sprayed my neck and both arms....five or six sprays total. (((Pause))) It's wonderful. Creamy + dreamy. I made a wise choice.
