JOURNEY: From out of the rose’s shadow…an outcast peony comes to light. The fragrance opens with a fresh, fruity note of litchi and bergamot. On their trail follows the floral heart of peony, with glimpses of rose and iris below. The peony stands tall amongst them, inviting us all to take notice. Incense and amber reinforce this floral heart, adding a sense of intrigue to the musky breeze. All together creating a lasting sillage. A wonderfully strong floral that you are sure to make a statement with. 

INSPIRATION: The idea for this fragrance began one summer afternoon. I was walking past someone's garden full of roses. In the middle of all that red stood one peony bush, its blossoms a colourful array of pinks. I was instantly drawn to it, bright and alive under the sun's rays. It was almost as if the peony was lost in a sea of roses, just screaming to get out. I set out to capture that moment in a perfume.

Each cruelty-free fragrance from For the Scent of It is crafted by hand with care using only responsibly sourced materials. Every fragrance is created from scratch one material at a time and each is diluted to high “Eau de Parfum” strength. There are no phthalates, parabens, dyes, and ABSOLUTELY NO pre-made, inexpensive “fragrance oils”. Each bottle is filled by hand in small batches making each bottle feel uniquely special during the process. Each bottle is shipped in eco-friendly packaging that can be reused or recycled. So often a perfume is purchased and the box just sits there or gets thrown out. We believe a perfume shouldn’t be regarded necessarily for extravagant packaging and should be enjoyed simply “For the Scent of It”!

Ingredients: Alcohol Denat., Fragrance (Parfum), Water (Aqua).
Cruelty-free and no parabens, pthalates, or dyes.
Disclaimer: Caution; Flammable. Do not use near open flame. For external use only. Avoid spraying in eyes and mouth. If irritation occurs, stop use. Keep in a cool, dark place.

All Sales are Final. For cosmetic product safety concerns, returns and exchanges are not accepted. Due to the fact that scent is very personal and expectations vary from person to person, we encourage all customers to purchase samples of our fragrances before purchasing a full bottle.

Free standard shipping on domestic orders. All orders usually ship within 2 business days. We can currently only ship within the USA.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Forsaken Peony demands attention!

The fresh, fruity notes in the fragrance are bright and welcoming, allowing the floral notes to remind me of my love for Peonies. The hints of incense and amber add a touch of mystery and allure. It is a scent that speaks to my soul, reminding me of the beauty and strength found in the most unexpected places. It is a lovely fragrance, Michael.
